I found an awesome knitting bag today.
I've been knitting for a couple years now, and I've always carried my knitting around in crappy, ugly bags: Walmart shopping bags, book bags, and old-lady canvas bags.
My sister and I went shopping today. Since Noona lives in Indiana, we can't go shopping as much as we used to, so this trip was a rare treasure.
We went to Great Lakes Crossing. Now, Great Lakes Crossing has some awesome stores in it, but the most awesome-ist store, in my opinion, is the Sanrio Store. It's not that big, but I don't know anywhere else that has that big of a Sanrio collection in one place.
Anyone that knows me knows that I love Sanrio Stuff. Not all Sanrio stuff, because a lot of it is geared towards little girls, and I don't need that much pink, plastic stuff. I do like the home accessories and the purses and bags.
So anyway, I saw a bag there that I had seen in Wizzywig's in Ann Arbor a couple months ago and stupidly didn't buy. It's beige/brown leather with Chococat on it. It's so cute and the perfect size for carrying a small to medium knitting project around (like a sweater or socks or a shirt, no blankets). There are a few pockets for needles and other knitting things I might need. It even has little feet so it can stand by itself. The best part? It doesn't look like an old-lady-knitting bag. So, of course I bought it! I just got it today (or yesterday) so I haven't used it for any projects yet, but I can't wait.
No pictures just yet, but I saw a thing called photo-blogging that I'm gonna check out.
