One night in TC and the world's your noise house.

So it's 9:00 in the morning, and I so didn't think I'd be up this early. I was going to save this post until later, but it's not going to be as funny if I don't.

Last night, Noona, BusinessMan! and I arrived at our destination at eight or nine o'clock. I was in the house for five minutes and got hugs from as many people, if not more :-). The ladies of the G-clan (I'll give them names in a little bit) wanted to know how Stink Pants #5 popped the big question, so we moved out onto the porch. It wasn't long before everyone was on the porch with beers and other adult drinks. Being a nice night, the porch was a good place to be to avoid waking G-clan babies. I'll try to explain how we were all sitting in relation to myself, and give everyone names in the process.

Starting from my left were Hoochie Momma, Bubbles Momma, The Professor, Noona, BusinessMan!, Princess Pinoy, Princess Testiclees, Juggler Momma, and The Father of the Things.

I suppose I should add how we're all paired up, couples-wise, and I choose express this in terms of math.

Laura + Stink Pants #5 = null set
Noona + BusinessMan! = null set
Hoochie Momma + The Professor = {Roar, Meow}
Bubbles Momma + Princess Testiclees = {Butter, Peanut}
Juggler Momma + The Father of the Things = {Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3}
Princess Pinoy = 1 (or many, depending on how you think about it).

Terms on the left of the + sign are Loo or G-clan memebers, terms on the right of the + sign are the mail-order husbands. (I'm probably going to get complaints about Princess Testiclees, but he said he wouldn't mind the name Testiclees, and his name was already Princess...)

So we stayed up all night talking about old times, new times, babies and other (a lot of stuff fell under "other"). Some of the highlights were the talk of Princess Testiclees wanting a new nickname, BusinessMan! and Princess Pinoy doing shots, and the Princess Pinoy vomit fountain. It was about 2:00 when I went to bed.

Or when I tried to.

I slept in the basement, mostly because that's where there was room for me. I don't mind, basements are cool. What is not cool is snoring, creaky floors, and big roaring sounds in the night.

First of all, I slept on an air mattress. Sleeping on air isn't all it's cracked up to be. My shoulders are achy. Second of all, Princess Pinoy snores like a chain saw. Third of all, there's a giant metal hood in the corner that turns on every hour or so. Okay, that's not true. I thought it was a giant metal hood or pipe or something when I was trying to sleep. Looking at it now, it's just a dehumidifier.

In the basement, at least it's dark, but that's where it ends. You can hear the creak of the floors, the water in the pipes, pretty much every noise a person makes when they get up. I must have woken up a dozen times last night to the dehumidifier and Princess Pinoy's songs of the nose.

It's also cold, but I was able to remedy that with another blanket.

So seven or eight o'clock rolls around, and there is a chorus of running and pounding. The children are awake. I should probably go up now and see them, since I haven't seen them in forever.

Man, when I was half asleep and cranky, the idea of this post was really funny. Now that I'm awake, I'm not so sure...

Anyway, I'm going to sleep here another couple nights. It won't be so bad tomorrow, because I'll be used to it, and I'll probably turn the dehumidifier off for the night. Princess Pinoy is going back to sleep (he was up long enough to check his email) so I'm going upstairs.
