Eeek! Wedding Planning Panic!

This past week, I realized that I have twelve and a three quarters months until 2006. If I add the assumption that my wedding will be in August, then I have 20.75 months left. I was okay with that until I told Hoochie Momma (who by the way is living nearby again, and I'm happy because I have babies accessible to me at almost any time *teehee!*) and she reminded me that it's actually quite hard to find a day when the church and the reception area are free at the same time. I guess I'd better get my ass in gear.

When people notice my engagement ring at work (I love it when that happens) they inevitably ask when the special day is. When I reply that it's sometime in 2006, they then ask why we're waiting so long. Then I have to explain about Stink Pants #5 and I living apart, yadda yadda yadda.

It's hard to be excited about something when the person you're doing it with happens to live 492.03 miles away (according to Mapquest.com) and you only see each other an average of one time a month. During that one time each month, we usually have more immediate plans that generally have nothing to do with planning a wedding. I'll be lucky this month, because we'll be together for two whole weeks! Most of those weeks will be spent in Wisconsin though, away from where the wedding is going to be. No planning to be done then either.

Luckily, my godfather, the G-Clan Patriarch, is going to see what days are available in the church that summer, since I can't seem to do it myself ;-) Thanks Ninong! U R de Man!
