Attack of the Viruses!

Our computer is riddled with viruses. Why? We use Internet Explorer. Why? Because that's what Dad's used to using. We really should switch to Firefox or something.

So now, every couple minutes or so a pop-up will appear with all sorts of crap. It's never just one at a time either. Two or three appear, and if I'm doing something that requires anything our computer slows down.

I've uninstalled the so-called "programs" that are helping us get "cash back bonuses" for allowing pop-ups. They're out of our program files, but the pop-ups keep happening. I've manually deleted everything that wasn't supposed to be there from the C drive, but they keep on ticking.

I've been to the virus forums, so I now know what I'm dealing with. It sounds like this is not an easy virus to get rid of. So rather than spend eight hours of headache here in my house, I'm going to take it into the computer store downtown and have my pal Lord Steven (I didn't make that up, that's the name he uses on his website that I've forgetten the name of. Sorry LS!) fix the computer for free! Hurray! Then it's his headache, and not mine! Whoohoo!
