There's nothing like a wedding to get everyone super drunk and crazy. Canadian Crazy.
This past weekend my family all got together to see my cousin, Karebear, marry her boyfriend of six years, Travbav.
There's a picture of the wedding party. Aren't they gorgeous people?
Noona and I haven't seen Karebear in three years, if not more (I can't really remember, it's been so long). So of course, we were extremely happy to see each other.
Three pretty un-married women. Sorry the picture's a little dark, but it helps hides my alcohol-induced red face.
The wedding itself was beautiful. It's was a traditional Filipino Catholic wedding, with all the veils, cords, coins and frills. Here are Karebear and Travbav lighting their candle.
This is one of the nicer pictures I got during the wedding. Next time I should arrive early and sit closer to the front, because I'm frickin' short.
The reception was extravagant. I didn't take too many pictures because I was too busy stuffing my face and dancing like a maniac (that's for sure, I was dancing like I've never danced before). There was tons of food: antipasto bar, salad, pasta, meat and veggies, and hoards of dessert. Dad ate so much he got gout. Stink Pants and I wowed my parents with our knowledge of swing dance steps and sappy love song lyrics. Noona, Wonka, Stink Pants and I were seated with a bunch of the couple's friends, right near the bar. It was awesome :-).
The party was so fun that Travbav drank himself silly and voided himself in the men's bathroom. At least he came out for the last dance of the night, where he took off his shirt so he wouldn't get vomit on Karebear's dress (he was also still a little drunk.)
Karebear was a little embarrassed, but he's a construction foreman, so she wasn't too upset with him.
At the end, Noona and I snuck another picture with Karebear before she left to get ready for her and Travbav's flight to Aruba.
A truly memorable night. Now we're two un-married women and one very tired bride.
The next day, my family and I hung out with my Tita Lin-Lin and Tito Chuckles. We stopped at an Asian mall, and I had to take a picture of this.
I've never seen one of these before. Canada is full of wonders!
We all had a great time :-). Hopefully it won't be three years before Noona and I see Karebear again.

Reminds me of my family... Especially the names of your aunt and uncle. I have a post about some of the more unusual Filipino names in my family: http://www.thechurning.com/?p=104.
Anyway. Looks like you had fun!
Hmmm - not sure why it didn't hyperlink. Here's another try.
Looks like you all had a lot of fun. I just had a wedding for my stepdaughter. I must get the pictures finished!
Thanks for stopping by my site!
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm sure I'll be back to read your page again. My fiancee and I will be having a traditional filipino wedding in November (less than 3 months away!). Hopefully, it will go as well as your cousin's.
