Twenty-Five Year Anniversary of Life in the World

Hello everyone! This is to inform you that your favorite female Filipina blogger is twenty-five years of age today!

What does this mean? Not only am I a quarter of a century old, but the magical time when Stink Pants #5 is two years old than me ends and the not-as-magical time when I am two years older than Noona begins.

Today, my family and I celebrated my birthday by going to my favorite restaurant, Genji's! Not only did I have awesome hibachi lobster and scallops, but because it was my birthday, it was half-off! Hurray hurray hurray!

Know what else happens when you're twenty-five? In the state of Michigan, you have to get a new picture taken. It kind of stinks, because by the time August rolls around, I'll have to get another driver's license when I move to California.

To help commemerate this momentous event, here is another conversation my mom and I had before leaving to go to the Secretary of State.

-----------------------------

Laura is putting on her coat to go to the Secretary of State to renew her driver's license. Mom is just getting home from work.

Laura: Oh! I need to get a bra. I don't want to be flat-chested in my driver's license photo.

Mom: They will think you are a man!

Laura: Mommm!

Happy, happy birthday BAAAABBBBY!
You won't need a CA drivers license, cause we don't need a car! :)

Happy birthday!

You can now rent cars from a wider selection of car rental companies. You don't get another milestone birthday until you turn 30 and can run for the Senate. If you do run for the Senate, run on a Hello Kitty and hibachi lobster platform.

I miss Genji. Ann Arborites do not seem to understand the need for Tapanyaki.

Happy Birthday!

This is a wonderful month for birthdays :).

Getting a new photo is fun though...I compared my WA to MI license and I look identical. Bald and fat. Total fun :(
