Inner Sundays

Mom and I went to church yesterday. Usually, church is the same as any Sunday, we stand, we sit, we kneel, etc etc.

Yesterday was different. We watched a baby get baptized. She was adorable. I've seen babies getting baptized before, but this time was different.

While we were there, I saw a little girl watching the baptism. She was probably adopted or visiting relatives, because she looked Filipina, but she was with Caucasian adults. Anyway, this little girl had dark hair, a blue sailor dress and glasses (remind you of anyone you know?)

While everyone was looking at the baby, I was looking at the little six or seven year old girl. She was so happy to see this baby's baptism, and she reminded me so much of me. It was weird.

Then, I thought to myself, "If I have a girl later, I hope she reminds me of me." Me! I thought this! I can remember numerous times in my youth when I swore I would never be like my own mom.

Yet even now, I know I word things like my mom, I have the same mannerisms, and people even tell me I laugh like my mom.

I don't know where I'm going with this. It just made me think :).

P.S. Hey Stink Pants! Guess it means some time or another, we better have a girl.
