What's been going on lately

Well, the play is over :) Here's a picture of me as Gloria in Bye Bye Birdie. :) Yup. I'm blonde, and no, I did not dye my eyebrows (which reminds me, it's about time for a waxing).
Me as a blonde

Well, right after the play went up, it was time to go to the Troupe Reunion! In my drive up north, I witnessed a momentous event in Noona's Explorer.

One hundred thousand miles! I had to stop to take the picture, of course.

Anyway, when I arrived at Snowtown on Thursday night, it was a balmy 50 degrees. As the weekend progressed, the temperature dropped to around 30 degrees. It wasn't fair, I say. There was much partying and I didn't get up the next day until about noon. After lunch, DC, Kjeriks and I went to the new building. Tentatively called the CILIT - Center for Integrated Learning and Information Technology - when I was attending school (it was the butt of many "Where's the clit" jokes) it is now known as Rehki Hall. Rehki must have given them a giant chunk of change to get his name on a building. Here are some pictures of the new building and the addition to the library.

Flat panel TVs! Can you believe it?!

I didn't get a picture of this, but in the basement there are movable shelves. Yes, these shelves move left and right at the touch of a button. If we had wanted to, we could've scooched all the shelves to the left, then scooched them all to the right and back again. Of course, we abused this moving shelf technology and did the Indiana Jones Run through the Shelves of Death. The shelves have a sensor that tells them to stop moving if someone is in the aisle, like garage doors do if there is something in the way. However, if you start past the sensor, the shelves don't realize there's someone in the aisle and start moving anyway. Kjericks almost got caught in the Shelves of Death because we thought the sensor made the shelves stop moving, but they didn't! It was crazy! And I had a ball :)

Anyway, I met a bunch of new Troupers and saw a bunch of Trouper alumni. I brought my mmom's MagicSing (or Magic Mic) with me. You may remember it from this post. I love the MagicSing. We had a ton of fun. Almost everyone enjoyed it, and the ones that didn't were kind enough to tolerate the loud and drunken singing (thanks guys!)

I uploaded a bunch of pictures on the Troupe Flickr site. It might take a while for my pictures to show up, but here are a couple pictures with me.

question: do you think guys should wax their brows? Specifically, this guy.

Nah, guys don't have to wax their eyebrows half as much as girls do, unless you've got a pair of juniper bushes growing above your eyes (which you don't).

So don't worry :)
