The experts say most people over the age of 30 can't hear it. Originally, a device that makes the sound was sold to British storekeepers to keep teenagers from loitering in front of their stores.
Stink Pants and I can both hear the sound. When I played it for my mom though...
...nothing.
She couldn't hear it! I didn't believe her at first, but I played it a couple times while she was talking to me and she didn't even blink. Try listening to it. If you can hear it, hurray! Your ears are young!

My dad who is 51, can hear it if he places his ear directly beside the speaker. hahaha, I got a good laugh about it when I kept asking him,"Can you hear it? Can you hear it? It's so loud!" hahahaha! ---Kara ;)

Off to the retirement home for me...
Wow. That might be the most annoying sound ever. I better watch out for my students doing that or else I'm gonna go crazy this semester.
Man, I would never use that ringtone! But both I and a 40-something friend could hear it.
Wonka and I can hear it! We had to stop it because it was bothering Leo.
