Back in the U P P E! (r peninsula)

So I went to visit my beloved Stink Pants this weekend. For how short it was, it was pretty nice. Michigan's UP is a beautiful part of the world and a great place to visit especially if you like outdoor sports like biking and rock climbing, or in the winter time, skiing and snowmobiling.

Because it takes so frickin' long to get there, I spent Friday and Sunday driving. That left us one blissful day of togetherness.

So we slept in until 12:00. Hurray!

We visited the Jam Pot in Eagle Harbor. The monks make some awesome jam. If you're ever in the area, stop by, you won't regret it.

We also saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I'll try not to spoil anything, but it was okay. I think it could've been better. However, Stink Pants and I both agree that the musical numbers were awesome :-).

After that, we went out to dinner where Stink Pants spent gobs of money on a meal I only ate half of :-D. Yes, yes, I took the rest home. I'm not CRAZY.

I had to leave this morning. I know it's the same distance, but I must enter some sort of wormhole on the way home because for some reason the ride back is always shorter than the ride to Stink Pants' underground "palace".

So all in all, it was a very nice, relaxing 38 hours with my honey bun. We're gonna have to do something about this living apart thing soon.
