Dad just bought a new DVD player. Mom, Dad, and Laura sit down to watch the DVD player's very first time in action. Mom takes the control.
Mom: How do you do this?
Laura: It's the same as the last DVD player.
Dad: Just press 'enter'.
Mom: There's no 'enter' button. You just have to press 'play', like the last one.
Dad: Just press 'enter'!
Laura: There should be a 'menu' button you can press too.
Dad: Just press 'enter'!
Mom: There is no 'enter' button! (Mom pushes something and the DVD starts playing) OH! There it is. (Laura starts laughing uncontrollably. Mom gestures with the remote control) I will throw this in your face!

SO....How many DVD players have we gone through now? Better yet, how many remote controls do we have now and how many do we actually use? Must I remind dad of the STUPID laser disk player that we still have and only used twice?
probably 3 DVD players... and upmteen remotes. We could make a house for kitties out of the leftover remotes. It'll be all sorts of different shades of plasticky gray and black.
I was there when you used the laser disk player once. It was after we had driver's ed, and we watched Hot Shots Part Deux! I think we turned it off early to go get Intermission Deli, and then we watched Black Adder for six hours.
