As you may well have noticed, I have been really lazy about posting daily in the past couple weeks *cough* months *cough cough*. Let's take a minute to dissect the reasons why, shall we?
I haven't had the drive to write anything lately. Before, I used to try and think of something to write for every day. I'd actively look for things to write about, you know? Even dumb things, like the guys who mowed the lawn today at the office (they have standing mowers that move super fast. It's almost like they're on hovecrafts powered by the magic of grass-cutting exhaust).
I haven't lost my will to write. I've just lost my will to write on the computer. I have more after-work activities to do now...kind of. There's kareoke on Wednesdays, and I still take singing lessons on Tuesdays. After I do those things, I don't feel like picking my way through the books and dusty rubble to the computer beyond and waiting for it to start up and connect to the Schminternet. Plus, if I don't get on the computer before a certain time (which is somewhere between 10:00 and 12:00) my father, the king of all things nerdy and electronic, takes over the computer haven behind the dust and doesn't leave until times like now (It's about 2:30 a.m.).
I have tons of pictures I want to post (especially the one of the awesome sweater I just finished) but with a dial-up connection, it takes forever for ImageShack to load an image for me to hotlink here for your visual enjoyment. (I do realize earlier I said my dad was the king of all things nerdy and electronic, but he's also "frugal" and we still have dial-up.) It took me about two and a half hours for the last one, and I didn't even get to post all the pictures. There's an especially funny one regarding world leaders Castro and Arafat which I must have ignored for some reason that will get its own post at a later date.
I should also talk about Mom's and my two hour trip to buy $200 worth of various rose shrubbery last Saturday, but it's almost 3:00 and I'm really tired.
So, I apologize for the gross lack of posts and I'll try to keep people better notified of silly things that happen in my life (like the tree that fell on my voice teacher's house today) so you all can talk about it at your own proverbial water coolers (or not. It's not like there's anything awesome happening to me right now :-|).
